I developed an interest in using step by step videos to train eye surgeons while in Oxford. This developed into a book, Phacoemulsification - Step by Step. This was one of the first surgical texts to include a video CD.
I became a consultant at Cheltenham General Hospital in 2003, and have been training Fellows and Registrars in surgical techniques ever since.
The techniques shown in the video tutorials reflect my training and opinion. One of the delights of oculoplastic and lacrimal surgery is that there are a range of effective techniques from which to choose. The videos are all tried and tested and I hope provide you and your patients with a simple recipe for success.
